It’s all about the pastry

Sometimes a classic is all you need. Aldi’s standard, no messing around All Butter Mince Pie is my favourite, and the pastry is what puts it ahead of the rest.

It’s beautifully buttery—the sort of pastry you enjoy just as much as the filling. In a mince pie, getting that balance right makes all the difference, and this one does it for me.

The filling is good and tasty, with plenty to enjoy, but it’s the pastry that keeps me coming back. Everything works together, yet that buttery flavour is what makes it stand out.

My verdict: The best mince pie for me. A tasty filling wrapped in pastry that steals the show. Put the kettle on, I may even have two.
